to damn cumbersome as far as software goes. Just not worth it at all to even bother. Sure, shooting the video is great but i never get around to making the videos.
Anyone else feel this way?

I actually feel the same way. Bought the 3+ when it came out. Got all kinds of accessories. And I just never feel compelled to frick with it. Bring it with me on most hunts and fishing trips, but usually end up not turning it on. Battery life, fisheye, and the controls would be my three biggest complaints.

What? GoPro's software is TOO user friendly.

My iphone shoots better video.
The gopro and accessories are nice, and the software is easy. It seems my batteries never hold much of a charge.
I got 3 and I am lucky to get a 2 hours out of each, but it just seems like you are constantly messing with the batteries.

I have the app and it sends it to my phone. Pretty easy. Also shows a preview before and while recording

Yep. I gave my 2 gopros away. they are a pain in the arse with all the fittings to keep up with. Then when it comes to editing, don't even get me started.

98% of the gopro type videos people post on the internet aren't worth the time to watch them. Never owned one and don't have any plans to.
Dashcam footage is wayyy more interesting anyway.

Yep, it's a lot of work for casual users, especially considering that it's just today's version of home movies that nobody wants to see anyway.
Quality videos from non-commercial users that are worth watching are rare (like the bonfire video below!)

I kinda feel the same way. I feel so much pressure to use it to justify having it, when sometimes I just don't feel like bothering with it.
I actually love to edit footage. I just hate getting it.

I have the Hero 2. I used to wear it on my head every time I went out with the hawk. But, I've gotten to where I usually don't bother. It's rare that the action is close enough to even be visible on a gopro. And, as an amateur photographer, I'm sort of a stickler for doing things right. I feel like I'm using the wrong tool for the job. I guess it's better than trying to run around in the woods with a $20,000 camera on my shoulder, but the video I get with mine is just lackluster most of the time. It's probably due mostly to the fact that it's just strapped on my head while I'm actively moving around and turning my head, not focused on videoing the action.

Editing is a giant pain in the arse. Makes me not even want to fool with it, plus the battery only lasts an hour and a half and I hate taking the time to switch it out while I'm hunting or fishing.

My 8 year old can make GoPro videos and put them on youtube.

This solves all you battery issues:

Plug it in to your cigarette lighter plug in the boat or you can use a battery pack like this:

As far as editing, it does suck and the GOPRO Studio was crashing my computer. I realized I was doing to much at a time (converting files). Now I do 3 at a time and then clear with great success. I'm definitely not a pro but I learn a little something each time.
Edit:
They also make this for a boat that i am waiting to come out or I may attempt to make my own. Seems pretty easy to do.

I say the same thing every time someone comes on hear and asks. shite got old quick. PITA for the most part. I found myself worried more about getting to shot than taking the shot........
