The St. Louis Rams have been a disappointment this season, but don't expect the team to blow up the machine come January.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport told Around The NFL on Thursday that all indications suggest that both coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead are safe and expected back for the 2016 campaign, per sources informed of the situation.

The pair have worked together since 2012, compiling a 25-35-1 record with no playoff appearances. Still, with a potential move to Los Angeles on the horizon, the Rams aren't in the mood to start over with an entirely new leadership group.

Never been a more average coach to be an NFL head coach so long. When he had who he wants, he's just always average-never won a super bowl, never just truly awful...always somewhere along the 'average' spectrum

Lewis has been actually fielding good teams these last several years.

I'm a casual fan of both and I'd love to see both make deep playoff runs.

One of my favorite teams to watch was the Oilers/Titans with McNair and George.

Lewis is about to get his 5th straight playoff appearance. Todd Gurley was in 1st grade 5 playoff appearances ago for Jeff Fisher.

Where will he be coaching them next year is the question.

0-6 in playoff appearances as a head coach. Fisher is 5-6 in playoffs. When Lewis is inevitability fired from his long tenured first head coaching job, I believe his 2nd gig will go pretty much like Fisher's. Both are a little above .500 in their careers.

Like I said, I would like to see both go deep into the playoffs but reality and history both say "no".

The bulk of those in the 90's and none of those wins in the last decade.

History says one won't even come close to getting to the playoffs.

One loses in the playoffs. One goes 6-10.

And one has actually advanced in his playoff coaching career.

So, how deep do you believe the Bengals will go this year?

You still think he's the coach he was in '99 despite 15 seasons of evidence to prove he's not?

Most likely lose in the 1st round again with Dalton hurt. Better than 6-10.

This is why the Rams have not had a winning record since 2003.....

Holy crap. Are the Rams like this .500 version of the Cleveland Indians from Major League?
