so now that we are well into the 2010s, i think we have had enough time to look back and appreciate the truly big moments the NBA had from its previous decade. for most iconic moment, i think we have a few candidates
Kobes alleyoop to Shaq in game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals
Robert Horry's game winner in game 4 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals
Derek Fisher's 0.4 shot
Robert Horry's game winner in game 5 of the 2005 NBA Finals
Boston breaks its title drought in 2008

i kept it to the postseason, but if we are considering the regular season, kobes 81 point game and houstons win streak is up there

Ray Allen's three to keep the king's title hopes alive
Nevermind we aren't including the 10s.

"Artest is in the stands!" still affects how we go to games...

I remember I was on the computer when it started, then someone messaged "Dude. ESPN. Now." to me on AIM.

I think those are pretty fair. The Lebron game against Detroit in OT where he scored the last 25 points or something for Cleveland was also incredible.
I'll remember all of those moments for sure, but I think the Kobe to Shaq alley-oop summed up that decade pretty dang well.

The Tayshaun Prince block on Reggie Miller in the 2004 Eastern Conference Finals to save the game for the Pistons.

Has to be this, especially for casual NBA fans.
