I liked it a lot. Great shrimp po-boy and good burgers. Nice little bar area. Good stuff. I'm a fan.

Geez..every time you swing a dead cat in Louisiana, you hit your mom's..

How many burger joints with variations of the name "your mom's" are out there?

Food was pretty good the couple times I've been. Beer selection was miserable. Like it or not, that will affect my future visits. If I can't get a decent beer to drink with dinner, I'll go somewhere that I can.

I got my food to go.

The burger was around a 6 or so. THe bread fell apart. You would take a bite and the meat would basically slide off the bread

It's a new restaurant and they are probably seeing what they can turn and not before it goes bad.

What did they have on tap?

FYI. Not the owner

Have you considered providing the feedback to Your Mom's or do you just prefer to give a negative review?

In my experience, burgers don't travel really well.

This place is really close to our hood. Have you tried it?

Well he did say the food was good. I don't really think it's his duty to tell the place their beer sucks.

In this day with the amount of beer available, you should know your selection sucks when it's all bud, miller and coors. That's just being lazy, cheap, or just not giving a shite

I tried twice but somehow found myself at fuzzys next door.

Which by the way has really stepped up their food. I don't see myself ever going to zippys again or izzos(unless I'm getting a burtito).

Agreed. It's also near a college campus where many of the patrons won't have such a refined palette for beer. I'd think it be worth mentioning to the bartender that way they can get a feel for what specialty brews people in the are are looking for.

I'm not a big fan of hamburgers. I was talking to the manager about that so he recommended some ways he likes to customize a chicken sandwich when he gets bored with burgers. Had a variation of a chicken Reuben with mushrooms. It was really good.

He was really personable so recommend a few beers to him he'd probably bring a couple in for you.

Finch you know the managers name? I've been a few times so maybe next time I'm in I'll mention it. However, I'm perfectly happy drinking my Ultra.

I'll probably head there for lunch tomorrow. I'll ask and report back.

I know the manager and one of the owners are brothers so that may help.

If I remember correctly, BMoney posted glowing reviews of the place on his social media accounts and several times here. Nothing wrong with gently warning folks on this board (where we have a large beer following) that they won't be getting any decent beers there.. especially when it seems like the place (regardless of how good it may be) sells the same stuff you can get at 50+ restaurants around town: burgers, poboys, chicken sandwiches, fried apps.

Anyway, the place is across the street so I'm sure I'll try it out eventually. I see they order their buns the same place Bulldog does.

I e-mailed them on the website, and after no response, messaged on Facebook. So far, crickets. Next time I go, I'll try to talk to an actual person. But given that I can get better food and beer at Chimes just a bit up the road, I'm not sure what motivation I have to go back at this point, unless I'm craving peanut butter and jelly on my burger.
