place is across the street so I'm sure I'll try it out eventually. I see they order their buns the same place Bulldog does.

Wait, I thought you moved in by Olive or Twist. That fall through?

Oh, across the street from Jones' (and KJI's) neighborhood. Yes, I am down by Campus Federal and etc. on Perkins as of last night.

I e-mailed them on the website, and after no response, messaged on Facebook. So far, crickets.

Well shite. So you have made attempts. Kudos to you then. Disappointing to hear you haven't gotten a response.

I went on Sunday and I did see some draft beers I don't remember seeing the first couple times I went.

In my experience, burgers don't travel really well.

Yep, good juicy burgers with nice soft buns turn into a mess on the ride home.

Ate there today for lunch and really liked it. Got the debris fries which were great. I got a shrimp poboy and really liked it. Husband got a burger and said it was very good. Nothing mind blowing but certainly a good stop for burgers or poboys.

Atmosphere and decor were nice. Didn't get beer this time but the bar was packed. So I guess the selection now is improved?

Food was average IMO. Cheese fries were not good. I would take bulldog or walk ins cheese fries over theirs. And cheese fries should not be hard to frick up.

GF got the roast beef po boy. Again, meh. Kudos to them for using leidenheimer bread though.

I got the jalapeño ranch burger. About on par with other good burger places.

The killer for me was the service. Food took a long time. We had to ask for utensils and napkins after already being served food.

I will try again but I am not anxious to return.

I greatly dislike the Hammond location
food, service and premises all well below average
so I'm sure it will do great in BR...

I went Saturday night and we sat in the bar because there was an approx. 30 minute wait. Overall I thought it was good, I'd go back for sure. Service was good considering the bar tender was our waiter and the place was busy. Food did take a while, but we ordered right after a large group placed their order, so also understandable.

They are working on the beer selection. Bartender said the BMC taps are in the process of being changed to craft brews. I had two 40 Arpent Milk Stouts. We started with the fried pickles, they were okay...pretty hard to mess those up. I had the caprese burger - tomato, mozzarella, candied jalapeño vingarette on a jalapeño cheese bun. Thought it was very good, though I'll likely go with the normal bacon cheeseburger next time. They didn't ask how I wanted the burger cooked, but it was cooked perfectly IMO. Can't remember what my brother and my buddy had, but they both enjoyed their burgers as well.

It's not a place I'd drive out of the way for, but I live close so I'd go back. Total bill was around $30 for two 40 arpents, the entire appetizer, and my burger.

Sounds terrible. I would never wait for a burger joint in the Winn dixie strip mall

I wanted to try the place out and didn't mind waiting bc I also wanted to drink beer and watch LSU basketball and the NFL playoff game...also wasn't their fault it took long, a table of 9 or 10 people placed their order before us. Not an issue at all.

Sound logic.
