Any chance that he can beat out Harris in the offseason?

Etling is not the answer. Etling is the question.

Etling will challenge Harris this spring. He is a better passer, more accurate, not as mobile though. The receivers will like him that's for sure, but will the coaches. After the past four games, I can't imagine them not giving him a fair shot at the spot. We shall see.

It's worth a shot. There needs to be a full blown battle royale for QB in the spring.

This question leads to the bigger question:

Why can't Miles recruit and develop a quarterback that can play at least passably in the SEC?

The issue here is Oline. Mountanius slow footed lineman built for power running game. Although sounding contradictory...the tackles had trouble with bull rushes from lighter DE's. Feet are too damn slow.

You mean the kid who got benched on a horrible Purdue team? No he's not.

And his connection to LSU is Cam Cameron. From the same place where Cam played high school ball. Wouldn't be surprised if he went D2 or something.

I tried to his watch highlights from 2013, but the highlights were always slanted toward the opponent so he was usually on his arse. He got sacked 31 times in 2013. Other than that, has a pretty good, natural pocket presence and throwing motion. I hope he gets a chance.

Man, wouldn't it be fricking awesome if Etling turned out like Mett?! Not necessarily as good as Mett even average would be great! Long shot of course but it's possible.
