Harris will have a Jimbo picked QB to deal with quickly

Nah. Jimbo's newer system takes time. I have yet to see a true freshman take a snap for him at FSU.

And the QB recruiting, OMG, it is going to blow up! high ranked Jamarcus Russell from Alabama, 5 star Ryan Perriloux from Louisiana, 5 star EJ Manuel from Virginia, 5 star Jameis Winston from Alabama, Deondre Francois #3 pro style 64th overall recruit from Florida (really like this guy), Malik Henry #4 pro style 4th overall recruit from California (if we get Jimbo, does he commit here???).

3 star guys like Clint Trickett who started for West Virginia and Jake Coker who starts for Alabama.

His 3 star QB Sean Maguire that he recruited is playing well this year and finally starting over Golson.

He takes a QB every year and usually two QBs when he gets a top QB.

He utilizes and picks dual threat QBs effectively and know how to put them in great situations in his system.

One thing for mf sure....Les Miles can't! Jimbo will at least give him more than 1 target to throw to

Harris needs to learn the to put touch on the balls in the short passing game. His deep ball accuracy is actually unreal for his age

Harris right now is the exact opposite of Mett in 2012. Mett was pretty accurate on short to intermediate throws but sucked finding the touch & timing on deep throws. That changed for him in 2013. Right now Harris throws a pretty good deep ball but struggles with his touch & timing on shorter throws. Here's to him developing that touch in 2016. He isn't that far off like some fans make him out to be.

Elite? No, that seems unlikely.

Harris will need to learn a new offensive system. He'll likely receive new instructions on fundamentals. He'll likely be taught new keys, points of focus, etc.

Harris would likely improve in '16. The massive improvement would likely take place in the summer between the '16 and '17 seasons, and Harris would probably be a really good QB as a senior.

If he does coach here, and BH becomes a great QB, Miles and all of our present offensive coaches should quit coaching. That's all..

Will be nice to finally have a coach who can improve the offense.

Offense has improved from last year. LSU is still top 10 in rushing yards, Harris just threw for over 300 in a game, people said that would never happen, they also swore up and down that Harris wouldnt start and should transfer.

2000 26.7 pts per game
2002 24.8 pts per game
2004 28.7 pts per game

2014 27.6 pts per game
2015 31.9 pts per game (Much improvement from the offense)

Jimbo will be a good hire, not a better hire. And this pretty much proves he was handcuffed by Miles rt?

honestly don't think Harris is as bad as this board makes him out to be. He has a lot of natural gifts and I could totally see him putting it all together in 1 year just like Mettenberger did.

He's not and he has come a long way from last year. My major gripes are with his late throwing and no touch. That is the exact reason why he Get guys knocked out so often. Oh yeah, and his inability to hit the check downs. Fournette should have 150-200 more receiving yards and 2-3 TDs because he's been so damn wide open and Harris decides to throw to the covered man. Same problem Mett had.

He was very raw coming out of high school though. He had only played 2 years before coming to LSU, and never even learned how to play football until he got to high school.

With Jimbo (hopefully) at the helm, Harris should improve like EJ Manuel did, and actually do even better because our receiving talent is much better than what Manuel had at his disposal.

No. LSU does not have a SEC-caliber QB on the roster.

No. He simply doesn't have the tools to be elite. He is average at best. I'm sorry. Nothing against the young man.

He doesn't have to be elite to be a winning starting QB. Jimbo turned Stan Heath, Patrick Nix, Dameyun Craig, Josh Booty, and Christian Ponder into solid, winning college QBs. There isn't anything elite about any of them.

The only Jimbo QB that I never saw much from was Marcus Randall, but even he won some games his senior year. He just wasn't consistent. I would argue that Brandon Harris has a lot more physical ability than Randall ever did.

Yep. How many times has he had Fournette wide open if he wanted to check down out of the longer pass? Last week he had a wide open TE underneath on the pass that injured Dural.

This is why I hate idiots on this board complaining just to complain. You are talking about a wide open check down on a play that was wide open for a TD but was a terrible throw. He shouldn't have checked down. He should have got the throw down and it was a TD. Perfect read.

And again, he doesn't have to be for us to win.
