Are there any offset smokers under a grand that are worth a shite?

Open to non-offset too, although Id prefer it. Suggestions? Would like to stay under $600 but Im flexible...

I have this BBQ pit(not the smoker) and it is built like a tank...super heavy duty for the price. LINK

I think it is the same one Aaron Franklin uses in his videos. LINK

I have that exact smoker and love it. It's the Pecos or something and is the one that guy Franklin uses. Like how the smoke stack comes out from the side, makes sure the meat is completely consumed by the smoke before exiting. I also like the removable grate over where you put the wood. With that grate there you can really sear some steaks or anything else you want seared.

I'm sure those are fine smokers. I have something very similar, but Franklin is probably just using that for videos. He makes his own smokers out of old LP tanks. They are huge.

Could always look into The Good One brand. The patio smoker is close to that cost. I have the open range and enjoy the shite out of it.

You can get a Lang 36" for slightly more than that which will last a lifetime. Can't be beat for a backyard offset at that price.

Lang 36

If that is a hard price point for you I would look at The Cheyenne from Yoder.

Look on Craigslist in TX and GA if you don't mind a trip you can usually find a good deal.

Buy it. They're built like tanks and the customer service is impeccable. I also have a Texas Pit Crafters PM75U that I've really enjoyed. It's a little pricier than what you listed, but has been a great pit.

If I was not planning on rebuilding mine, I'd either get one of those or another mentioned in here.

I have the Chargriller Pro also, but you have to modify it a bit.
