Because FB is basically public information that people put out there. If you put something on FB then you should expect anyone to see it. Why should I care if anyone here sees my FB page?

You run the risk of people going to your wife's page, and putting pictures of her cleavage on here. You can do what you want, but these things have gotten out of hand in the past.
