Master and Commander. Pays homage to Darwin as well which is pretty cool. Still awaiting that sequel though...

In Harm's Way with John Wayne and Kirk Douglas is good classic.

Was coming here to say Das Boot. Up there as one of the best war movies ever. Most people probably don't know about it because it's foreign. The battle scenes had me on the edge of my seat.

Seriously, Master and Commander. Probably the most accurate portrayal of Napoleonic-era naval warfare, just like Russell Crowe's Gladiator was the most accurate portrayal of ancient warfare.

I'd say Hunt for Red October but always like Crimson Tide a lot too. I've never seen Master and Commander but it's sitting on my DVR right now..

Since some WWII movies have been named I really enjoy Run Silent Run Deep. May not be the best but I watch it every time it comes on tv.
