No one else's strength of schedule changes that shite Baylor plays every single year. Unless we're talking about ACC teams, every other P5 plays in a better conference than Baylor. Then, to top it off, they schedule the three easiest OOC opponents they can find.

Ohio State in the near future will be playing 11-12 P5 teams every season. Run your mouth, but at least know what you're talking about when you do it.

They couldn't survive either the Big Ten or SEC conference schedules but they have to play the hand they're dealt.

Maybe, but I'm not so sure. They have zero defense. TCU would have a better shot than Baylor.

Wait. Are you saying TCU has a defense better than Baylor this season?

This is just pure ignorance.

TCU YPG: 388.6
Baylor YPG: 382.4

TCU YPP: 5.13
Baylor YPP: 4.89

TCU Rushing Defense YPG: 172.5
Baylor Rushing Defense YPG: 151.3

TCU Passing Defense YPG: 216.1
Baylor Passing Defense YPG: 231.1

TCU Turnovers forced: 11
Baylor turnovers forced: 18

TCU TFL: 44
Baylor TFL: 58

TCU Sacks: 18
Baylor Sacks: 15

TCU D PPG: 24.5
Baylor D PPG: 25.1

At best, TCU defense = Baylor defense this year.

The game will be a snooze fest. Total points around 50.

I could line up on defense with just my dog and have better numbers than those against Baylor's schedule.

Those numbers all affected by opponent strength. To this point in the season, SOS according to TeamRankings:

TCU 36th
Baylor 54th

This is kind of like arguing about who the second ugliest broad at the party is though. Both defenses suck. TCU at least has the excuse of not only losing many from last season but losing several starters beginning just before the season to injury (I think 7?).

That doesn't say much for Baylor considering most of their defense returned.

At least TCU can point to only 4 returning starters and injuries for their problems.

To get a second source on strength of schedule, Sagarin:

TCU 53rd
Baylor 104th

I'm not arguing that either defense is any good.

I'm arguing against the notion that TCU defense is so much better than Baylor's that it would allow for them to compete in the SEC East.

Our schedules are very similar and will be nearly identical by the year of end.

As of now, we both played SMU, FCS team, Iowa State, WVU, and Texas Tech.

Baylor also has Rice and Kansas
TCU has played Minnesota, Texas, and Kansas State

The difference is SoS is not that far apart. End of season TCU will have the slight edge as Minnesota > Rice.

Considering that realignment would be a decades-long thing, I think it's hard to argue that a defensive minded Gary Patterson team would be worse off in the SEC East than Baylor. My point is that both defenses suck this year, but that is not the norm for Patterson's teams. Baylor having playmakers on defense as they did the recent two seasons was an aberration, and even then the defense wasn't what anyone would term "good".

I'm not going to argue with you on this because the whole thing is stupid.

That's not my point. You cited current defensive statistics. Currently, those statistics were compiled against disparate schedules, so they're not very meaningful. Agreed the final schedules are basically the same, but we're not there yet.

Has Baylor beaten one non-Big 12 team with a pulse during their run under Briles??? The Holiday Bowl against UCLA 4 years ago I guess? I don't get why they get the benefit of the doubt all of a sudden.
