Been to Gainesville twice and it was ok.
Once was a win in 2002 (Maulk broke his foot) and once was a loss in 2012 (OBJ fumble was game changer).
Will never go back to Oxfart. That's the SEC hell hole mix of MS trash and uppity blue bloods.

Why all the Gainesville hate? I've never been but i'd think that would be better than Starkville, MS Auburn, AL or Fayetteville, AR.. but apparently I'm wrong. Whats up there?

I went to Gainesville in 2012. We stayed in Orlando and bussed into the stadium. Experience was fine.

My road trips in 2016 are Green Bay, Texas A&M (since I live near there), SEC Championship Game, National Semi-Final, National Championship!!

Kayak still shows some rooms, I've got a room booked at Holiday Inn in Appleton, they still have some rooms left at $195 with no prepay and can cancel within 24 hours.

I think both fanbases got screwed on this deal. They got to visit Houston instead of the best campus in college football.
