Does anybody know if/when LSU has ever beaten Alabama in a "blowout" score? They have done that to us more times than I care to remember - it would be nice to return the favor some year.

How about this year? Smackdown or struggle?

27-3 in 2003 according to Wikipedia.

I expect a similar game to the Florida game this year. Back and forth early with a late TD to ice it.

Honestly, if we stay within a score going into the 4th qtr, I don't think there is a team that could beat us. This OL/run game just wears teams down.

It wasn't a "blowout" but I felt like 2006 was always in the bag. There was no chance of us losing that game, and we won by 14.

The 20-10 game was enough of a blowout to kill the Bear

20-10 really was not as close as the Score. Alabama got its initial First Down in the 2nd Half!

Our OL and run game is better than it was the last two years, IMO. We have to control the game late, and if we can't get a crucial final first down, we need our D to prevent their one minute drill. I think Steele can do this if necessary.

In 2003, LSU was clearly the dominant team at almost every position on the field. Bama kicked a fg late in the game to avoid the shutout.

I guess when you read "this" team you think "last year and the year before."

Here's the truth about the game. If you run it down our throat or your QB has a great day we could be in trouble. If we stop the run for the most part (keep LF below a 100 yards or so) and put your QB plays just average your in trouble. If any combination of those things happen either team could be in trouble. Should be a great game I don't think you guys give us enough credit for being pretty good and I don't think we respect LF enough for what he has done. Should be fun and good luck and safe travels!
