Computer made me update today from windows 8.1. It just seems more convoluted to me. I liked windows 8 fine. Am I just doing it wrong? What are some good changes it's made?

I like Windows 10. Do you have a desktop or a 2 in 1 like a Surface Pro 3?

The better question would be "Does anyone NOT like Windows 10?" as it is universally loved by majority.

yeah 10 is a major upgrade from 8, especially on a non touch screen device.
only complaints ive really seen are related to the upgrade, not the OS itself.

I have a yoga so it is a 2 in 1. It seems like my laptop is running slower also. What are the major changes as far as its user friendly functions?
I just don't know anything about it so I feel like I'm wading through fog.

Windows 10 > Windows 8.1 (if you take 5 minutes to fix it) > Windows 7

addition of an actual, functional start menu
functional live tiles for the start menu that you can customize
optional tablet mode
faster and more secure
elimination of idiotic W8 components (like the charms menu)

Sure. Takes a little getting used to, just like 8 did after using 7. It's quite functional once you take a few minutes to use it.

I'll just have to get used to it. Thanks

to be more precise...
W10 > W8.1 with Classic Shell > W7 > W XP > a slate and piece of chalk > two tin cans and a string > W8 without classic shell

If you really feel that W10 has slowed the computer down, it may be from errors during the upgrade process. It may need a bit of cleanup to fix that.
If you really hate W10, you have 30 days to downgrade back to W8.1. Keep in mind that once you downgrade the device it will be ineligible to upgrade again for free.

Dude, you may be the only person on Earth that likes the derpfest that is Windows 8. I guess if you grew up on tablets, it may make sense, but it's not a tablet.

Thanks for your help Jcole
I believe everyone in that it is more useful. I just have to do more research...shouldn't have jumped the gun so soon.

I basically started using Windows 10 in conjunction with OS, not as an upgrade. So while I think several things about it suck, I think it's more of an OS to Windows comparison than a true knock on 10.

I actually liked 8.
8.1 was even better.
I love 10.
Only problem with 10 was it nuked my anti-virus to hell. the good news there was Kaspersky had a new version which worked with 10 and I was allowed to use my old license.
Other than that, 10 has been solid.
I need to get a microphone so I can tell Cortana to open things up.

I love using it, but it needs some work with voice recognition when you "train" it to recognize only your voice. Maybe just me, but I have to say "Hey Cortana" at least twice before it'll respond. I don't have that issue with "OK Google."
On the flip side, if you let Cortana respond to any voice that says "Hey Cortana," it overzealously activates if it even thinks someone might've mumbled those words. One morning, I woke up to about 10 tabs open where Cortana had searched various things throughout the night (TV was on). For example:
