And that makes no sense. Any black parent that doesn't teach their child to comply with LEO is doing them an injustice. That is like telling them to play in the street.

Sad but true. Racism is alive and well.

I have LEOs in my family...I don't incite reasons to "beat on me". Furthermore, you are the one who needs to check the attitude at the door.

Hope they are better cops than the one in this video. I also hope they don't come under attack for the actions of their less-than-stellar brothers in blue.

Agreed. Unfortunately you and I aren't straight outta Compton so I didn't grow up saying frick the police. It's counterintuitive but I think there is a mistrust of authority that's going to be tough to break.

I can assure you that they are. They are fully in support of what Leon Lott did and completely agreed that the LEO involved took this way, way too far.

I have stated repeatedly that I also think that he took it way too far and should have been fired when the initial complaints were filed against him for excessive force. He should never have been employed as a LEO to even be employed by the school. His history demonstrated that he had done this before.

violent attack on a young student

She used her phone.

He told her to leave because of it.

She argued.

The cop was called.

She wouldn't comply with the cop

Hell broke loose.

At that point, I wouldn't care if he choked her out or tazed her before dragging her arse out of there.

LOL. Whatever, chick.

Don't come into a thread calling other posters "asshats" and being a general count about how people are "misrepresenting their university".. then crawfish that you know what you're talking about because you live in SC.. then crawfish when people ask WTF that has to do with anything and say you and Mr. Teacher are besties and he told you everything.

If you and Mr. Teacher are besties and you know everything, it is quite suspect that you're on TD.com chatting with random posters about this. But whatever. Maybe that's the case.

Rag, Fes, etc. may bust my balls and we may debate the shite out of this. But I highly doubt they care about the attitude of someone they've interacted with for 7 years.

Don't be so shocked you're being called a bitch when you waltz into a thread calling people names, implying you know some top secret info because you live in SC, and then flip your lid when people don't bow to you because you didn't speak up that you and Mr. Teacher are friends (if you even are).

I am? Where did I say that what she did was okay? I said that it was handled way wrong. Never said anywhere that she did nothing wrong.

You have serious comprehension issues.

you have to be a fricking retard to say what he said. he is literally supporting this girl getting her arse beat by a cop because she refused to listen to a teacher

she wasn't violent. she was disobedient and rude. that makes him fricking retarded. at the very least it makes him far right/overly religious and he is simply regurgitating what he heard hannity say on the radio because he is incapable of his own thought

I can't personally speak of the training received by the officer involved in this particular incident, but most officers are trained to apply a continuum of force model to effect compliance and control of a subject.
Here is a brief explanation from the National Institute of Justice.

From the evidence that I have seen, the officer did not escalate his use of force in an unreasonable manner.
It's quite possible in this case, that the subject's resistance to his physical contact compelled him to to apply more effort than most untrained observers deemed to be prudent.

Yeah, might want to check yourself with that "incapable of his own thought" with that fantastic stereotyping.

"Far right" don't care for the police. Centrists Republicans and Democrats are the ones who crave law and order.

Not even close.

Continue on with your astute assumptions, though.

His boss, the sheriff, disagrees with you

From the sheriff.
quote:

That is not a proper technique and should not be used in law enforcement," Lott said during today's news conference. The sheriff's department's internal investigation unit reported to Lott that Fields did not follow proper procedure, and there is a criminal investigation underway by the FBI.
