Any credence to this? LINK

April fools.

Anyway, that was a good finale tonight and a very fantastic homage to the Superman mythos and I say that because you could literally plug in Superman to Kara's place tonight and it would be a perfect representation of Superman. This kara that I saw tonight is definitely Superman's cousin and cousin he would be proud of.

When Kara made the decision to give up her life to get Fort Rozz off earth, I knew she had arrived as a mature woman who embraces and understands what Superman sees about Earth and its people.

Maxwell definitely isn't sill trustworthy and he's up to something with that energy source. Good. I can't wait to see what he does next season.

James and Kara? Ugh. Hopefully that's a phase and it'll pass.

I honestly have no idea what's in that ship. Can't wait to find out.

These last two episodes underscore how bad that crossover was.

Bet that was her mom in the pod.

I'm not for Benoist I might have bailed on this show. She's dynamite.

Unfortunately I think we are going to be stuck with it for awhile. The only way they replace James as her love interest is if they decide to make her gay.

How come Superman can fly to the sun, fly just fine in outerspace, fly around the earth and what not and be perfectly fine. But Supergirl flies Fort Rozz into outer space and will die because she can't breath and can't fly?

I thought the same thing.

If they really want to go the multiverse route, what if it's Power Girl?

Totally agree with every premise. Supergirl the series is one of my surprise go-to superhero/comic book programs that I dvr and watch every week. I'll be having withdrawals during the off-season.

One question and one observation:
1. Question: Superman was unconscious on that table. What did I miss? I don't remember him being in anything on Supergirl, except for the most fleeting glimpses. What happened to him? I saw near the end that Kara and Clark were texting, so I guess whatever it was didn't keep him down. Does anybody know?

2. Observation - while Maxwell doesn't look like the bald headed Lex Luthor of the DC silver age of comics, he behaves far more like him (in his bad phases) than any movie or tv Superman Luthors have since Christopher Reeve days. Enigmatic. Secretive. Brilliant. Scheming. Treacherous. Self-serving. Etc. I like him in this niche.

She better have the big tits and the brick shithouse body to look the part.

Like this...

This other guy better show up for real too...

Definitely a man face there. Plus Power Girl has short hair.

In some of the comics Superman could survive in space, and in some he needed a space suit. It just depended on the writer/story. In the Justice League and Superman cartoons of the late 90s/early 2000s he needed a space suit.

Here's a thought...what if the pod is part of Project Cadmus...a continuity between seasons in an appropriate manner if you will.

I like how they actually changed Non to his comic persona by having Kara basically lobotomize him. Now he's little more than Zod's hulking brute.

I thought it was a solid finale, just didn't like the mushy parts with Olsen and Kara, but it's expected given the demo they want to reach

I thought the finale was kind of meh. Not bad but definitely not edge of my seat kind of finale with a thrilling cliffhanger. I would be really surprised if CBS renews Supergirl. The ratings have been on a decline and the finale was a real low number. I don't like how they make Alex a smart person but very dumb with decisions and the overacting on the drama/mush parts. If CW picks it up or if CBS retains for a 2nd season, I hope the writers read comments about how James/Kara love angle absolutely sucks.

Superman was in the episode before the final Supergirl and Kat are on the balcony of CATCO watching him fly in and then he flies down to the ground falling under the spell of the mind control device. So you only saw a distance CGI shot of him.

Supergirl's ratings have been double that of Gotham. Think about it.

I think I read somewhere that one of the reasons Gotham was renewed for a 3rd season was bc it was one of the top DVR shows. It is top among men. Plus it had a very strong Season 1. Fox tends to not worry about numbers as much as CBS. CBS will cancel shows with low ratings especially after 1 season. It would not be a shock if CBS did cancel Supergirl and allow it to go to CW.

Gotham is the only Monday night show on Fox since 24 to last more than one season.
