Paul Finebaum on LSU

My old workplace used to play the sec network during the day and I would hear Paul bash LSU daily. This past summer he said we'd be lucky to get to bowl eligibility basically. Anyone watch now? I'm curious if he's admitted he was wrong or acted like he thought it all along(what I'm guessing).

I don't watch his show, I see him on CFB Live though and usually he seems to have very rational opinions. He seems to be fair in his assessment of LSU, they have a very talented team, but still some things to work on.

I could see him being on the radio, but there's no justification for him being on TV. He is very unpleasant to look at.

How this squirrelly looking guy actually made it to someone that is discussed around the dinner table at night is just mind blowing.

He's always been high on Alabama because they're frequently the best team in the SEC. Until we beat them, which I hope and pray AND think we'll do this year, we'll play second fiddle. He loves LSU fans and Leonard Fournette. He won't completely gush over us because that's not what he does. I have no problem with him. Just like any othee talking head with a show.

I find it hard to listen to that show, but not for the content. It's because the mics they use are awful and he always sounds like he's talking through a rolled up magazine.

Guy questions how successful LSU will be before the season due to valid concerns and our fans rush here and start thread after thread complaining about the lack of respect the media gives us

The thing with Finebaum is, yes, he has a Bama agenda. Yes, he spends a lot of time praising Nick Saban. Do I wish he would spend more time on LSU? Absolutely.
However, isn't it great that a four hour call-in show dedicated to SEC Football exists? Hell yes!!!
That is why I watch/listen to the Finebaum show.
Also, I watched/listened to the show in the summer months, and I never heard anything negative said about LSU. He gave Auburn waaaay too much praise, saying they would win the West. He also said LSU vs Auburn is the game he was anticipating the most in the month of September, so I'm not sure how he could tie that in with LSU barely becoming eligible for a bowl game.

Have no idea what he's saying nor does his opinion matter. He plays for ratings. He has to for ratings and advertisers. He says what he needs to say.
