Are you concerned about the fact that the other teams OC seems to be adjusting better at halftime than Steele's defensive adjustments.

Or, is it the depth, which we are lacking on the Dline?

I'm a bit concerned.

Am I too concerned?

Help a concerned Tiger fan out.

Should I be concerned about the defense or just concerned that you're concerned?

I'm no expert but, it looked to me that LSU ran base defense in the second half to avoid a total beat down of USCe. There were some coverage mistakes that resulted in giving up big plays. They learn from these mistakes.

I'm okay with Steele so far.

Special Teams are my concern.

Running a soft zone while you're up by three scores and running the ball the way LSU did isn't something to be concerned about, it's smart

we just needed better execution on the backend of some of those plays, plus the USC QB did make a handful of excellent throws

This is my biggest concern with this team. The way teams have come out and put up points and seemed to throw the ball with relative ease has been the case in every game this year. It did seem like with Chavis, we could usually make the right adjustments at halftime and with Steele, he just doesn't seem to be making the adjustments needed

me too. I think when we sign more DL and LB guys we'll be a damn good D.

thank god the ST play seems to be Miles concern also. it SHOULD NOT take rocket science to improve downfield coverage, particularly lane discipline.

Not sure if it's Steele, Raymond or both. All I know is that we are soft and the Safeties are suspect.

Special Teams is nothing special at all.

What kind of adjustment would you make at halftime when your defense plays nearly lights out in the first half? The opposing offense will adjust to the effective defense during halftime and the defense will have to adjust on the fly in the second half. This is what happened in all the games so far. How much would you adjust when you were effective all first half?

A small twinge of concern has crept into me. Or more that I just don't have that confidence, almost feeling of relief when the D takes the field, knowing a stop is imminent. I will say that USC should get credit for calling what seemed to be the perfect plays against a few of our defensive calls, and executed well.

I will also say that we can beat almost every team on the schedule if we hold them to 20 points, because the offense is looking strong.

Why would he make an adjustment when his defense had given up only 3 points?

Probably combination of depth, coaching and scheme.

What you guys fail to realize saying defense played fine is SC is a horrible offense. Horrible. MSU was probably the best we've played this year and they're not great either. Little ole WKU might wake this defense up because supposedly their offense is really good. I think that will be a good test for our defense before we hit the gauntlet on really good offenses like TAMU.

I will too, but giving it up to USC doesn't necessarily give me a ton of confidence that we will do it against the rest of our schedule. We can, but there were some things that need to be fixed.

Was it smart when MSU had an opportunity to win the game but blew it against LSU when we were doing the exact same thing in the second half of that game and getting skull fricked on defense? If you can't see something is wrong with the defense and compare the quality of offenses we've played you're blind as hell. We've played 1 good QB all year in Dak and he missed an easy 2 point conversion. The rest have been absolutely atrocious. It's a concern but I don't think it's anything that's broke...it can be fixed. Problem is I think it's a combination of several things not 1. Scheme, coaching, depth and mental errors are all the problems right now. Blizting is extremely pedestrian too. I really don't like Steele's scheme. I swear it looks like a poor man's Chavis scheme like Steele stole his playbook and is trying to run it the same way. It feels like guys like Adams and Beckwith are playing worse than last year too.

If we have any injuries in the front seven this team is fricked because the backup LBs are bad and the dline has very little depth.

Dak Prescott is only QB we've faced that began 2015 as the starter. Same applies to Florida.

There is a significant drop off from the 1st and 2nd group of DL. That's not necessarily Steele's fault. He has to play with the cards that are dealt. There does however seem to be several instances of confusion between the safeties and D. Thomas. We don't know who is a fault there, but there have been more than a few times where #13 and #33 seem to discussing what went wrong after a big play.

The secondary is solid for the most part, but for as good as he can be on blitzes and against the run, Thomas looks as if he has lost a step in pass coverage. Not all the time, of course, but it seems like this year when there has been big gains in the passing game, Thomas has been the victim.

8 min left in the 3rd you could see them trying to kill the clock and it seemed like the DL was in conservation mode the entire game as not to be burnt out at the end. I did see a few other gym us getting some reps at the end of the 4th
