Back when I was a scoutmaster, my troop had over 90 scouts. We usually had 8-10 fathers on a campout. We had a 24 cup campfire coffee pot. When we first got to the campsite, we started a fire and dumped the coffee in a clean white sock and into the pot it went. As the pot emptied, we would add water and more coffee to the pot. the pot was never far from the fire and in the morning, the first thing we did was add water and more coffee to whatever was still in the pot. At the end of a three day campout that was one stout pot of java.

Some kind of good!

Solid, MD. Solid.

We have a little bit of spoiled troopmasters in the sense that we have several nice amenities in a camping trailer. Our coffee pot runs off small propane bottles.

The boys did cook/eat dinner in foil from the campfire last nite. I made jambalaya... Lunch today was rewarmed Jambalaya from foil n campfire for all.

Good times.
