Does the guy know her true age? It's been told to him? Just talking won't get him in trouble. Sex talk will get him in a bind only if he has been informed of the age. Sending a nude pic will do him in too. Or if he receives one.

Depends if he's actively soliciting sex, but Im not sure how it would work across state lines.

I know from To Catch a Predator, that in Texas, even just talking to a minor online and soliciting sex is a punishable offense. In other states he would have to actively meet the individual and show intent (why they always ask the pedos to bring stuff on TCAP).

I just think it might not be worth all the trouble, especially if his daughter can easily cut off the contact. Idk why she would want to talk this individual anyhow.

This is a very pedo-like answer

Or, he could be a top notch Pedophile whom created a Facebook and Twitter page as "proof" he is under 18. I'm just saying. Still kee an eye out. You never know who puts up a wall to try and deter people from the truth.

Again I want to thank the OT for all of your help. I knew that I could count on you. To those questioning my parental guidance, you have to give them a little bit of rope and obviously I was right there on top of this once I saw something that didn't look/sound right. Like I said my kid (boy by the way) has not contacted the person since they said they were 45, which was this afternoon.

To GeauxxxTigers23, if this would have been my daughter we could probably come to some "arrangement" to make someone disappear.

True, Gris

How did it come about that the owner of the phone was 45? Or whatever

But why was he talking to a 45 year old in the first place?

Have you told him not to do it again? I'd probably block the number just to be on the safe side

What the hell are you talking about? What would the cops do? Clearly he didnt even know the true situation. So it would have been a terrible phone call to the police.

Obviously you have never seen To Catch a Predator. Maybe you should enjoy a few episodes.

If it's not your child this time, it'll be someone else's next time. You need to get records of the texts from your cellular service provider, and call the police.

Seriously, call the cops. This guy won't stop until he's caught.
