He takes off every play that isn't him getting the ball.

Eh, if he gets to LSU, that will be fixed fast or he won't see the field. Not too worried about that.

Well considering that they don't throw the ball much and he isn't asked to lead block a whole lot, there's not a lot of times for him to be seen blocking poorly. Most of the times when he doesn't get the ball, he is a decoy running the opposite direction of the play. Not much blocking you can do there, so I'm not really sure what y'all want him to do. Once you run outside of the tackle hard, if you draw the defense's attention you've done your job.

When he does have to block he can certainly pick out one guy and see to it that they have no effect on the play. But like it was said earlier, if there is any real case of him taking plays off, it won't happen at LSU or else he won't see the field.

I'd be much more worried if he was a receiver taking plays off.

His talent is undeniable. Not sure what people expect from him considering he played nearly every snap. Of course he's gonna take plays off and he looked lazy (standing, flat footed, poor technique) on defense at times. But to play both ways, you have to conserve somewhere. But his ability to turn it on when he hits open field is jaw dropping.

I think that's why people are jaded a little. Once you see him break it into the open the talent disparity is obvious. He's head and shoulders above anyone else on the field. Everyone knows he can break it every time he touches it and when he doesn't, they get frustrated with a kid who is so much better than everyone else.
This is the third time I've seen him and I leave more impressed each time. Reminds me of Charles Scott with elite speed. Hope he's a tiger.
