In other news, while we wait for the unveiling of the new alternate jerseys our favorite BSS writer has announced he's "retiring" from covering the Pels after this season...

I want to take this time to officially announce that I will retire as a Pelicans writer at the end of this season. Been a great run!!

He said he was quitting twitter for good, then came back like a month later.

Will miss his content; not his ego

Appreciate the first part Lester. As for the second, you don't know me so don't pretend like you do.

I can't imagine that you are the exact person in real life as you are on this board.

I can be condescending and have been MANY times in the past, but until you walk a day in a mans shoes, don't judge.

Anyway, I have enjoyed it and will do my best to deliver the best content possible in my last season. It's easy to leave now that the troll is dead and there are SO MANY great Pels writers. The fans are in great hands.

He's just trying to steal the thunder from the TP letting Smith go. He wants to be the center of Pels media attention.

You've done a great job for this team, very much appreciated.

You're going to be here until June, though

BC many have asked. I will focus on my other passion, Social Justice. Excited about many of the movements happening in US currently.

MM is a SJW? Pretty sure that will cause a blip in the TD matrix.

Anybody who is happy with this should reconsider. Whether you like his ego or not he always provided quality content, more than 99% of posters provide. There's a handful of people out there who are as passionate as McNamara about the Pelicans, including myself, but there are very few people who commit as much time as he does covering the team on top of his regular life. Hope he continues to cover them, even if it's 1/4 of the coverage he's given in the past.

Agreed. I'd say the more actual fans we have covering the Pels and providing content, the better. Just like the less Jimmy Smiths we have the better.

Oh I read everything he does and enjoy it...even though he never responds to any of my tweets lol. I put retiring in parentheses because he was doing this on his own on the side. Plus I am hoping we'll see him on future BSS podcasts or the occasional article in the future.

Yeah, I know he said he was done but I highly doubt that. Could see him taking a step back but he's a big fan like many of us and has talent so he'll def make some more pieces and be a guest on BBS podcasts IMO. For him to say he's completely 100% done is unrealistic.

This is all terrible logic. He's judging you on your actions. Actions you admit to.

Also, you cant judge someone unless you "walk a day in his shoes"?

what?

Have you ever been the fuhrer of nazi germany? Have you? Then you cant say shite about hitler. You dont know him after all.

In Mac's defense, I don't believe he has ever tried to exterminate all the Jewish people in the world. So applying the same logic to both of them may be slightly inappropriate.

Mac and Schwan's podcast got me thinking about basketball instead of passively watching it. Mac will be missed.
