BVG gets no love in ATL

ND is ranked too high in the polls and GaTech, IMHO, is ranked too low. I'll wager they switch spots after this weekend.

This game sets up one of the two teams to be talked about highly for the NCAA playoffs.

Interesting read on BVG and his ND defense. I predict a long long day for the Irish and GaTech may not have to pass the ball to win in a blowout.

The Irish have QB problems going into this game. It was going to be difficult enough without this new wrinkle. GaTech seems to be firing on all cylinders.

Damn, that dude gets around. I didn't realize that he was the one who pissed off PJ at Ga Southern. G Tech is going to run it the frick up on ND.

It's not going to be that big of a loss.

Their starter is out for the season so nd's season is done

ND is going to rally behind their injuries and beat Tech.

This is a Rudy moment for them.

Around here, nothing and everything makes sense.

This is a team with 17 former high school quarterbacks on the roster, mainly because Johnson believes that high school coaches generally put their best athlete at that position, and all he needs is some athletes.

Holy shite

South Carolina, Dec. 17, 2007-Jan. 24, 2008: Five days after Petrino bolted for Arkansas, VanGorder accepted Steve Spurrier’s invitation to become South Carolina’s defensive coordinator. Here’s this from Pete Iacobelli of the Associated Press:

Spurrier said he got assurances from VanGorder — who had worked four different jobs the past four years — that he was ready to end his reputation as a coaching nomad. “I think at this point stability is very, very important to me and my family,” he said. “The three-year contract is nice and I think that’s a statement for everybody. My intentions are to be at South Carolina and to be there a long time.”

I remember this. That was so weird at the time.
