there is a difference between striving for excellence and being unhappy with anything short of perfection. if you are not one of those fans wringing your hands, then props to you.

hypothetically, not you per se.

what fun would sports be if LSU killed every opponent? that's not sports.
you spent four hours watching football last night. i hope you enjoyed the frick out of it. it engaged you for FOUR STRAIGHT HOURS. how amazing is that? if LSU would've killed them, you would've started getting drunk or changed the channel or talking more with your friends etc.

and news flash to everyone. LSU is great. LSU has been great this entire decade. With the exception of the down decade LSU football has been good to great for over a hundred years.

what's missing is the enjoyment of that greatness.

Dude, "we"? You are a fan, you don't contribute to the success of the program one bit (que the TAF comments). Bitching the way most of the Rant did last night and today is the definition of entitled.

We fricking dominated. We squeaked by towards the end, but once we eliminate the small, fixable mistakes, such as the penalties, think how awesome it will be. Think about those huge plays that got called back.
