Adderall for anxiety to help with public speaking? Hmmmmm

Adderall can tend to make you talkative because it's speed, but I have NEVER heard of it being prescribed for any type of anxiety condition.

Its not for anxiety and like you said, frequently causes WORSE anxiety.

He probably said that because he was taking it to help his focus and energy level as a PED on the field and in practice. Adderall helps my golf game a ton

Does your dad, or maybe one of your uncles answer to "Big Game Bob"?

My dad went to UNI, but is a die hard Iowa fan, and many of my cousins went to Iowa. His side of the family is so die hard Iowa, that one of my cousins went to ISU for an ag degree and still hates the Cyclones

A buddy of mine from Iowa graduated from ISU and is still the biggest Iowa homer. Roots for Iowa vs ISU too.

Nah man, but would be easy to pull that off on the internet.

Your cousin made a good decision by choosing ISU for Ag since its a really good program.

Sash said he had taken the prescription drug Adderall for an anxiety condition to help him with public speaking.

yeah, um... Adderall doesn't help at all with anxiety... Xanax (alprazolam) or another benzodiazepine, or even Inderal (propranolol) would help with anxiety...

Address would only exacerbate anxiety, not alleviate it....

Yeah I'd say so. Instead of running the family corn farm in small town Iowa he's in Chicago making bank as the head groundskeeper of a country club gold course

not for someone with anxiety.... a stimulant would only make someone with anxiety issues more anxious.... focused as frick, sure, but by it's nature, Adderall would exhibit more anxious feelings in a patient/person with anxiety as an underlying issue... for anxiety, you use an anxiolytic, like a benzodiazepine, as i mentioned earlier, or even a beta blocker, again, like i mentioned earlier....

basically, he would have been laser focused, but he would have had to fight off some severe anxiety if using Adderall for "public speaking"

IMO, he was taking Adderall illicitly, contrived some cockamamie story about "public speaking", hoping that would justify it's use, and when the NFL consulted medical professionals, they all laughed and said "this mother fricker can't be serious"....

Not sure why more players don't look for the laterals on INT's. It's always open to extend the return. I guess players want all the glory and it's not worth it for the one time you F it up. The Raven's D was money at it with Ed Reed
