Hear me out: What if the US govt has or has thought about running a human experiment to determine what the Human Race truly is at its core. By taking orphaned infants and raising them in underground cities where some would be isolated and some are grouped.

they would be cared for but would never be taught right vs wrong, left vs. right. They wouldn't even know of "our" existence. there would be 2 way mirrors looking into their world and we would drop food and random games to see how they interpret these objects....

they would be studied from infancy to adulthood. would you be on board with this kind of experiment? To truly dive into "human nature" in its rawest form?

If you can think it, the United States, or the Nazis, have already done it.

I honestly wouldn't be against putting orphaned kids in military schools.

we've been poked and prodded to death, sometimes literally.

it's an excuse for more spending/wasting more tax dollars....as if we had a surplus

no no no no no no.... did I say no?! NO!

Right before they die they all say “I have spoken with God, and He has abandoned us”.

Similar studies have been done with rats on the effects of crowding.

Well, we pay for enough of them already. I'd rather the money go to this experiment than their worthless parents.

It would take generations for the study to work.

They would be smarter than monkeys but they would be naked and covered in their own shite and grunt as communication.

Im not sure what you would learn in one generation other than feel fricking horrible for watching their pathetic existence

Well, we are are, for the most part, highly intelligent (evolutionarily speaking) organism capable of incredible mammalian endurance with large brains that have the ability to make tools and have an awareness of our own existence.

I wish there were a fighting league where they fought to the death. It would take a lot of funding, though. Like, $5 million for each participant in a fight, win or lose. That way, losers could die with the reassurance that their families were taken care of. Better than suicide in every way, for those considering it. Instead of taking the coward's way and leaving your family with nothing, you could go out with bravery and leave them with a cool $5 million. And if you won, you'd have every reason to live. I mean, what better cure for depression than the knowledge that you just beat someone in a fight to the death and won $5 million?

ETA: Dammit, I'm too drunk too.

By the time our robot overlords try this on us, controversy will be neither here nor there.

I'd be on board to see the true nature of man.

But your method is absolutely retarded.

quote:

ere would be 2 way mirrors looking into their world

Hidden camera maybe?

quote:

y wouldn't even know of "our" existence

Unless they're retarded they'd figure out pretty quickly that this:
quote:

p food and random games to see how they interpret these objects....
