RNR, I started when I was in The Marine Corps in the mid 1970's. Dove Japan, PI, Down under and the Med. Some cool places. I started doing the gulf in the late 1980's. Just could never get the wife to dive. I dove the rigs a lot. Lost a very good friend out there that was very season diver about 10 years ago.

I actually started diving in 1971 taking a PE class at LSU. After graduating in 75 I moved to the Caribbean for several years diving as a job then moved back to Louisiana in 78/79.

Began rig diving shortly after.

I used to could ... Dove a lot back in the day (mainly the 90s to 2002) back when the no more fishing service (NMFS) didn’t have a 4 day snapper season. I must know RNR, once I moved back to Canada it made it tough, that and it sucks to get old. I have dove in lots of places and rig diving is about as cool as it gets, add in the hunting element of spearfishing and I was hooked.
Gotta be careful though it can be dangerous, don’t think theres been a death for a cpl of yrs off LA. Anyone who has done it for 10+ yrs all have a story or 2
