Aren't all models with PureView that way? Mine does not have it.

I'm intrigued by this new release, but I hate that the camera sticks out.
None of the phones with standard cameras had that bump.

Any predictions on waiting time from announcement to availability?

Both smartphones will also bear a 20 megapixel PureView main camera with OIS, complete with triple LED flash on the 950 XL and dual LED flash on the 950. Both also have the same 5 megapixel front selfie cam. They also both have iris scanners to showcase Microsoft's new Windows Hello security. The Lumia 950 naturally has a smaller 3,000 mAh battery compared to the 3,300 mAh on the 950 XL. Both are charged via USB Type-C as well as Qi-compatible wireless charging. Both also support Windows 10 Continuum via a special connector.

I may get it. How can I found out if it will have my essential apps?
Posted on 9/28/15 at 10:04 am to SabiDojo
I don't know that you can right now. I say that because lots of new apps showed up for my tablet when I got 10 on it. Phone 10 may end up the same way.

Gotcha. I know two guys with Windows phones and they both love them. I may give this phone a shot.

I am probably less dependant on apps than a lot of people. For many, the app deal is a killer. I just don't feel like I am missing anything. Then again, there is at least some hope for expansion with 10.

Well, the two apps I need are for my work. The problem is they aren't exactly "popular" apps so they are usually only available on Android or Apple.
They are called Fastcase and Casemaker. They really are my only dealbreakers besides Google Drive.

I think you're going to be disappointed then. You can't just use the web for that?
Posted on 9/28/15 at 11:38 am to AlxTgr
I guess I could. That's a fair point.

This looks pretty promising.

I wouldn't get too excited. Go ahead and downvote all you want but the software isn't even gold yet but the phone is e being released.
As of this MORNING, they had to roll back an email update because it was causing crashes.
The font / color scheme still isn't universal.
I like Mobile 10 but it isn't ready to come out and play yet and any new Windows phone purchaser is going to be super pissed that they need to update their brand new phone with new software every few weeks to make it work right.
