I was talking to the OP. Telling him to be a better poster. Calm the frick down, dude.

Jennings is done at LSU barring an injury or Harris single-handedly blowing games for LSU.

Miles needs Jennings to stick around for this season so he has a back-up qb. If he names Harris the starter early then Jennings could transfer out.

True, but the season starts next week, and while he's the "leader" he's not deemed "the starter".

so?

Sure, he'll trot out on the field first, take probably the first series as a reward for not getting arrested this summer.

oh shut the hell up. he'll be starting because he has proven himself

I can guarantee you that he won't see every snap from the QB position in every game this year.

wow...what a bold fricking statement. way to go out on a limb there Ms. Cleo. can you name the last LSU starter to take every snap of every game?

If Harris performs well he starts every game. I do wish les would officially name his starter.

The notion that Jennings is "Les's guy" has been thoroughly debunked. And now that Les named him the clear leader you and people like you look like dumbasses.

Just take your lumps and be better in the future

AJ isn't "Les's Guy", but BH isn't "Les's Guy" either. BH isn't Mettenburger. He won't see Mettenburger reps or stats. Everyone here wants 1QB and we just won't get that this year.

You're right, and he shouldn't even see every snap in the first game.. it's called mop-up duty.

Zach Mettenberger like. Of course there were blowouts where we saw his backup, but by and large he was the guy.

No. I don't think so. I think we'll see a lot of AJ regardless of BH's performance.

BH will start game 1. If he performs well, he'll continue to start. If he's mediocre, AJ will take back the starting role.

But make no mistake, there will be one guy who takes the lion's share of the snaps... Like every year since 2008.

Then there's no reason to have this conversation. You've obviously made up your mind and you won't be dissuaded by fact.

Why would you expect to see Jennings in 3rd down when he's a significantly worse passer? And short yardage? Huh? It's not like Jennings is a big guy.

He said harris leads and don't be surprise if he starts the first game you idiot

It's a stated fact that neither QB has really distanced themselves from the other.

You liar everything we've heard states that Harris has been better

quote:

Sure, Harris may get more reps with the first team, but I can guarantee you that AJ will be in on 3'd downs and special short yardage situations.

Somebody shoot me please!! This dude really said we will take Harris out on 3rd down and short yardage. Obviously you know nothing about football

quote:

If Harris was a prodigy, and we had 4 NFL receivers and 2 Heisman RB's on Offense, he would simply name Harris the starter and tell other SEC Defenses - "Good luck stopping us".

Yea sure i'll show you my poker hand then raise you all in if your's is better. No he shouldn't name a starter now just to please the fanbase. You can't seriously believe that letting teams prepare for 2 QB's is not a good ideal.

All signs point to QB play being average this year. Get ready for another maddening season where QB talk floods the board with morons like me.

Dude harris was a true freshman who should have redshirted last year we have every reason to believe he will be better. Besides average sounds pretty good because that shite last year was far below average

As a side note. Can we get a season long sticky thread just for the QB position? Getting kind of tired of every tom dick and harry like me chiming in with their 2 cents every 10 minutes.

Les isn't naming a starter because they're both going to be starters.

Les did mention that they were going to settle on one guy though

Both Cameron and Miles have stated they won't run a 2 QB system.

quote:

It's a stated fact that neither QB has really distanced themselves from the other.

It's a fact that it's been stated that Harris has distanced himself. I'm not sure you understand how facts work.

quote:

Sure, Harris may get more reps with the first team, but I can guarantee you that AJ will be in on 3'd downs and special short yardage situations.

So the guy with the weaker arm is gonna come in on an obvious passing down? Bold strategy cotton.

quote:

The reason he hasn't named a QB is twofold. One, because they're both going to be playing every game. and Two, he thinks he's bluffing a weak hand.

Naming a starter offers no competitive advantage, at all. It's actually very encouraging that he's talked about Harris so much, it implies Harris may be forcing his hand a bit through what practice observers are going to say anyway.

quote:

If Harris was a prodigy, and we had 4 NFL receivers and 2 Heisman RB's on Offense, he would simply name Harris the starter and tell other SEC Defenses - "Good luck stopping us".

This couldn't be more off base. Miles simply doesn't believe in giving out information to make you feel better. He would withhold what color cleats the team will wear if he thought they made the players a little faster.

quote:

All signs point to QB play being average this year. Get ready for another maddening season where QB talk floods the board with morons like me.

All signs point to average being the floor. Harris will be serviceable at worst, and if he truly has taken the reigns of the offense we could be the talk of CFB at 3-0.

quote:

As a side note. Can we get a season long sticky thread just for the QB position? Getting kind of tired of every tom dick and harry like me chiming in with their 2 cents every 10 minutes.

I certainly didn't twist your arm to make this ignorant and cynical thread.

so if harris goes at there completes passes runs well and throws TDs you think well still see a lot of AJ?

you think les will just play the lesser of 2 QBs that doesn't offer anything more?

like i said if AJ was 250 lbs, I would see him coming in on short yardage. I sorta still see that if Les want to make sure BH doesn't have wear and tear of QB sneaks, but that isn't a 2QB system. that is a situational personal decision.
