I'll say this though, and I'm probably a little off base, but the rate the fiancé is giving interviews gives me the creeps. Its like he's going on tour. Surely people grieve in different ways and I hope I never have to go through what he's going through, but it just seems weird how much he's been on TV in the last few days.

Yeah its weird.

I, too, was following his twitter live yesterday after it was posted here. Don't think I'll ever forget that. Very chilling.

Well he's in the news business and has the skills to handle a national news interview. Not to mention he's an employee of the station and their nightly news desk anchor.

It also provides a layer between the family and the national media to allow them to grieve privately.

Yeah I couldn't believe I was seeing this unfold live. Everytime I refreshed his Twitter he had a new post and I saw the moment he uploaded the videos. Definitely the craziest thing I ever experienced on the Internet.

it's been pretty bizarre

again, we all grieve differently, but he just seems really nonchalant about it all
I said similar things to this on page 6 or so and got absolutely obliterated for it.

The fact that members of the media that are constantly stirring up this shite are victims in this story makes it even more creepy. I can hear the Don Henly song Dirty laundry playing in my mind.

Maybe doing this is such a part of his life that he thinks it's normal to hit the air with his "story".

You were referring to him going to Twitter about her death. Keep in mind they are also trying to limit the conversationabout the killer and focus on the victims. More so than most of these types of incidents.

Let's face it: he is a media guy and he gives good comments. This is not going to hurt his career, and he only dated the girl 9 months. I don't have a problem with any of it.

Her family might after a while.

I didn't roast the guy. Just said IMO it was inappropriate and seemed to me that attention could have been part of it. Y'all freaked out man.

I could be completely wrong, but what I said was not a big deal.

I didn't realize I was talking to a 13 year old girl. Enjoy your day.

I've been thinking about that song since this happened. Life imitating art.

And maybe the fiancé is just numb and in shock and can't say no to the interview requests? I'd rather think that than that he's seeking attention... I can't imagine what's gone through his head since yesterday morning.

That's how I feel about it. He is in the media and this is a traumatic event with which probably all of the reporters interviewing him feel a personal connection.

Wow just typed in the address of the station and his apartment and it's the same exit and by the hotel I stay at whenever I'm in Roanoke for business meetings. Small world

Sad nobody keeps a sticky thread going for dead cops or the media won't cover them much. No outrage, etc.
