I haven't been able to keep up entirely with this thread, but was dude gay? Not that there anything wrong with that, but perhaps, that was sometching else he was wrestling with? Seems like maybe a lot of self loathing that he projected onto society as a whole, more specifically--and tragically--though, his co-workers.

taking the words of a narcissistic psychopath as the reason for his killings
We are altering state flags and hauling down statues and monuments all over the country based on this exact rationale-why isn't this EXACTLY the same? Where is the president decrying this as a hate crime? How come he hasn't sent Holder to Virginia to investigate what is as obviously a hate crime as the church shootings?
The failure to treat this, and all other reversals of roles, is the real discrimination in this country. Colleges awarding scholarships and companies following hiring practices that clearly discriminate against whites and/or males, passing up those more qualified in order to meet government set or politically driven "quotas" is discrimination. If the issue really is fairness, then be fair. Treat these heinous murders exactly the same way we treated the other heinous murders. Cover the killings resulting from encounters between the public and Law Enforcement exactly the same, regardless of the race of the officer and the perp. Then, and only then, will we have the equality so many rant about.

There are certainly ways to stop evil people from harming others, with guns at least. I'm not saying I'm for getting rid of guns, but you can't ignore that.

Looking back on yesterday morning and how the events unfolded, how did someone on this board get a link so fast to the twitter page the shooter was updating?
At the time, the name Bryce Williams wasn't even on the radar. Vester Flanagan yes, but not this alias Bryce Williams. Then all of sudden Bryce Williams twitter page linked. I'm still in shock of viewing that page before it was taken down.

I saw it unfold on Twitter as well.

I know it's probably been discussed plenty already, but I would assume that since we are not hearing anything about the woman that was being interviewed that she survived the attack?

I was on his Twitter page watching it unfold as well (someone posted it on TD). It was one of the most surreal events I've seen in my life. The media, Twitter, Facebook had absolutely no idea it was happening, only the ones following his Twitter page. It was horrifying and surreal.

First, yes I'm also of the mind that he was a sick evil person and that was first and foremost the reason for the actions.
On the racism issue though: why did he shoot the other lady, the interviewee? She wasn't a coworker or anyone that he "had a beef with" or anything else, and witnesses obviously weren't a concern, but she was guilty of being white.
PERHAPS she was just collateral damage to him and maybe even accidentally shot (was it in the foot or leg?) and it may be that he deliberately did not pursue her to finish her?
So there's indicators on both sides of the issue.

Same here. Between the video, comments and being so contemporaneous with what was unfolding, it was like looking into the mind of a killer in the midst of his horrific acts. Pretty chilling.
