Kayak for sure. If you are a fisherman and enjoy fishing out of a kayak I really don't see how there could be a better value purchase.

4 wheeler. Never have to drag a deer anymore and can get corn and other stuff to the stands easily.

Original API Grand Slam climber. It was changed after I bought mine, and nothing made since is as good.

Flat boat back in 2001, still runnin like a champ with who knows how many miles/hours on her (40 hp). It ain't fancy but it can take you fishing in the marsh and haul decoys and pirogues.
Other than that, good shotgun & fourwheeler.

Like most others have said, my kayak. Even more enjoyable now that I have one that I can easily stand and fish out of.

I was torn between the KC and the Hobie Outback and I went with the KC and don't regret that decision one bit. It's a hell of a kayak.

Maybe I would have gotten the approval of the board if I would have said my 18' Champion... That I bought because the Citica reel turned me into more than just a perch jerking pond fisherman 10 years old and still on the rotation on the boat deck.
My Mathews z7 is a close second which I got my first bow kill with.
I've gotten my money's worth out of my Nikon Monarch binoculars too.

My best outdoor purchase was my 16' cc flat w/ 40 hp. I moved to an area in Slidell that sits on the Honey Island Swamp, and there is a boat launch into the West Pearl right down the street from my house. I had been fishing Delacroix with my former brother-in-law in his boat for over 15 years (though I still couldn't get you 5 minutes from the dock without getting lost). But I wanted a small boat so I could play around in the swamp, look for snakes and gators, etc., and occasionally fish reds in Bay St. Louis from my dad's place on the Jourdan River. I had no idea the West Pearl put you in the Rigolets/Lake Borgne, and just kind of stumbled on it while exploring one day. After that, it was on. My passion is fishing reds in shallow water with a gold spoon - there's nothing I'd rather do in life (though I can't anymore since my neck surgery). What I loved most was picking out little redfish holes from the Google Earth satellite maps, then finding them (without GPS) - as well as just exploring areas to find spots. One that I randomly stumbled upon about 7 miles down the Lake Borgne shoreline was a little "ditch" flowing out the marsh that was maybe 8-10 ft. wide. Followed it deep into the marsh and it opened into a whole system of ponds. First trip when I discovered it was the first time in my life that I saw tailing reds. I could spend all day in that boat and be happy if I brought home only 1 red if it was in a spot that I found on my own. Pretty much every one of my hot spots, I never saw another boat - mostly because most people were in too large of a boat to get into my spots (same thing with Bay St. Louis - that Bay if full of reds and drastically under fished). I was in heaven with that little boat and used the frick out of it. Used to go out twice a week , once on my off day during the week and once on the weekend. Especially enjoyed taking my kid out when he was around 8 years old and teaching him to fish reds. On the final day we fished before I had to sell that boat, we both caught reds over 28* in one of my ponds - might have been the first one he caught totally unassisted. When it comes to boats, size doesn't matter. Not only my best outdoor purchase, but easily my most fulfilling purchase of my life. And it was so cheap to run and maintain.

I can't tell you how many people I have turned on to those kayaks. Everytime I'm at the launch I have a couple people come up to me and ask about it. Had one dude say, "Damn! That's the Cadillac of all kayaks."
That being said, I never realized how big of a difference it makes being able to fish and stand comfortably on a kayak, not to mention it makes it way more fun being out there on a kayak like that as compared to the Heritage I had before.
