They play South Carolina tomorrow night. I think it will be on ESPNU. They scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 10th tonight to win, 4-3. Go jays!

Its pretty cool for them to be on national TV at such a young age, then to see what they do as they get older is really cool, the ones that make the pros, or do something else in sports, etc...

They won this thing a few years ago correct?

World Series
I laugh at this every time I hear about a local 10 year olds team going to Panama City Beach to play in "The World Series".

It's little kids playing baseball, you don't see any of the real sports kids play at that age getting so much attention.

You realize that American Legion is High School kids playing baseball, right?

At one time American Legion was the top prep summer league but today with all of the travel leagues and showcase series many of the top players no longer play Legion. Still great job by the Jays to get to the championship game; bring it home guys.

most scouts and next level coaches I have seen in one place the last 3 years....has been the legion state tournament... and yes I have been to perfect game... and other showcases.
and of the 18 kids on the roster 12 have already graduated.

Saw the game last night. Gutty performance after giving up a run on an error in the top of the 10th. Jesuit (I'm sorry, Retif Oil) pitching shut it down and then the bats came alive in the bottom of the inning.
Did anyone see where the Brooklyn pitcher threw 138 pitches? I know it's the last game of the season for him no matter what, but that still seems excessive for a high school arm. Seeing things like that makes me think even these HS leagues need a pitch or inning limit on pitchers.

I feel old when I realize that at least two of the kids on the team are children of guys I was on the team with at Jesuit

It is but the coach for Jesuit threw a guy almost 200 pitches in a game a few years ago. Any coach that does that to a high school kid should be shot.

He was dealing.
Couldn't believe he was still in at the 9th with 110+ pitches.
