I've never heard of this show at all until I saw it scrolling through series on Amazon prime. Decided to give it a shot just based on the 8.7 IMDB rating.

Through 4 episodes and it's fantastic. Jeff Daniels is a great lead.

Does it keep this up through all 3 seasons?

I love stumbling on a great show I've never heard of.

Yeah, it is pretty good through all 3 seasons. I enjoyed it also. Stick with it.

I liked how they poked fun at the absurdness of the Republicans after the rise of the Tea Party.

I really liked it. I loved Sam Waterston's character, and of course Olivia Munn. The deposition style and the big story arc of Season 2 was my favorite for the news stories. Season 3 was good for wrapping up the character stories.

It was easy to binge through all three seasons. Season 3 is only 6 episodes.

One of my favorite shows, and solid til the end. That show ending after so few seasons is one of the biggest disappointments in TV for me.

it's really preachy and sanctimonious - maybe more annoying than "treme" in this regard. i could never make it past the first episode. Agree with bbap - the witty and instant rejoinders screamed "phony" to me and rubbed me the wrong way.

My problem with the show, beyond what's been pointed out, is that is basically looks back on the past with 20/20 retrospect and says "This is what SHOULD have happened."

Of course it's easy to know what should have happened if you already know how things are going to play out.

Typical Aaron Sorkin fluff

Can't believe anyone was able to stick with it after that cringeworthy opening monologue

When you finish the first season go back and read the season long thread.

High comedy.
