So I decided I can't afford the cottages or northgate. How does one find non sketchy college age roommates that want to party in a good area? I tried craigslist but frick it. I wanted a place with 300 to 400 in rent, safe, hot girls nearby, and parties. I looked at some houses, but I dont have any roomates to live with me yet.

I know of a 3BR condo for rent, but it's likely outside your price range.

Are you at LSU? I would assume that LSU specifically has an off-campus housing help system that has all the off campus apartments designed for LSU students. I know SC and A&M do. Run by the same companies usually.

eta: I don't know anything about LSU nor have I checked out this site, but give it a try if you haven't already.

Brightside Estates or whatever it is called now. Pool parties almost everyday. Lived there from 03 - 07.

Go to the bulletin board in the student union. People post their rentals or roommates wanted ads there all the time, even in the age of smartphones.

BTW, you sound like a real prize roommate.

Your predicament isn't about finding housing as much as it is about finding the right roommate.

Being that you want "partier" roommates, I wouldn't rely on a roommate matching system. If you get someone who isn't and you are, they will get your arse kicked out

That said, I partied well enough in college and it was never at my own place.. You may as well go somewhere with a roommate matching system, and worst case you just don't host parties. That'll give you the semester/year (depending on lease) to meet friends and find people you actually want to live with.

Embassy Apartments. They are across from Walk Ons. It's like $800 for 2BR, so get a mate and there's your $400/mo. Place has 2 pools and is an easy walk back from Tigerland. You're not going to find it safe and cheaper anywhere else, except maybe Oxford Avenue (i.e. LSU's best kept secret).

Go to 'LSU Class of {Whatever Year}' facebook page. You'll find some winners there, so throw out some lines.

You sound like the kind of kid who needs to live on campus a few semesters.

Your only hope is Crescent or Commons on Burbank.
