Today he and Danny Kanell were discussing the top 25 poll. When they mentioned LSU Kanell said "We don't even know who the starting quarterback is." Russillo followed it up with "I do."

Kanell mentioned Harris, and Russillo said it's not going to be one of the few quarterbacks in the country who couldn't complete 50% of his passes.

I'll admit that after reading this it's hard not to sound like a rantard when you start a post about this, just relaying the info

Fact of life people need to start accepting.

Its not about WHO says they know something.
Its not about WHAT someone says they know.
Its about HOW someone knows it.

Unless Les told him, his opinion isnt worth a velvet painting of two whales fricking.

JackWagon Danny also knocked us for uncertainty at QB (which is legit) but failed to mention all the stud talent everywhere else when questioning our #13 ranking yet gives passes to Bama, FSU, UCLA, Oregon, etc etc etc

I'd advise everyone to watch the interview that was just posted on the homepage with Miles on the SECn. He said (and I'm paraphrasing):
quote:

Both quarterbacks have a good handle on the offense so far and understand the playbook. Now we're looking at other things that the quarterbacks can offer us; can he take off and make a big play with his legs? Can he make all the throws?
Seems like that says it all. I think we all know who's going to start if Harris and Jennings are on a level playing field mentally and the only thing left to separate them is physical talent

Jennings and Quinn both deserve blame for the Alabama game.

Harris and Chark should get a chance to fail because Jennings and Quinn failed against bama.

Um, do those other places have a history of trotting out truly awful QB play when they enter the season with "unkowns" at the position?

Actually, he wanted to know why Bama was where they are because of the QB situation as well.

Because Les Miles is the head coach, and we aren't delusional.

I like Russillo but he knows who the starter will be the same as all the fans know - educated guesses/speculation.

Yes, but Bama is at #3 not #13...he also acknowdged their strengths mitigating QB questions marks but failed to mention LSU RB stable, O-Line, Secondary...
