Thanks for all the serious suggestions. Yes Artie, I know what soft food is, but I was looking for ideas from the foodies here to treat her to something out of the ordinary. Good ideas folks. I really like the gazpacho idea and also the smoked tomato and shrimp bisque. Nicely played.

I'll be checking back in to see what you made...and whether she eats it. If I'm laid up on pain meds I'm not looking for smoked tomato and shrimp bisque. You people are delusional.

Make sure she's not having any stomach issues from meds etc... because sometimes tomatoes can compound those. Not something you want to have when you're recuperating. Too much acid can cause issues if you're on certain meds.
