Power is overrated, singles hitters and low strikeout totals is where it's at.

Feel bad for Miller, ridiculous he's 5-7 this year.

Can't wait until next July when we add a top 5 pick and Maitan to the system.

Yeah, it'll be cool to have another high school pitching prospect to keep track of in A ball.

Who else is on the block to trade? Are the safe ones Freeman, Simmons and (tried to think of a third)?

Got to think Miller is pretty safe barring a deal that completely blew us away. I'm hoping we move either Julio or Wood for a bat (hopefully Julio), but that will come this offseason rather than now most likely. Though now would probably be a great time to try and trade a decent starter to the Dodgers.

Would guess that AJ, Maybin, and JJ will the ones dealt. Everyone else has no value or is under team control.

I'm hesitant that Maybin ends up getting dealt. But I think the other two are given.

No trade would shock me unless it involved Freeman or I guess Miller.

Heard a Dodgers fan ask about Seager for Miller on MLB Network radio today though.

That would be interesting to think about.

Horrible deal if Braves made that.

U don't deal young pitchers, with top2 stuff, who are cost controlled, when ur retooling. Miller could be your Ace by next Spring, he has that kind of stuff.

I'm pissed we traded Miller, but Matheny was not going to have Shelby on this team. He wouldnt listen to catcher or staff. It is what it is.

This is what I've wanted us to do all year pretty much. Would fit our needs perfectly. Dodgers seem pretty much in a "not trading Seager or Urias no matter what" mode though.

Miller, JJ, and AJ for Seager and Austin Barnes would make me pretty happy (and maybe somehow swing a CJ for Alex Geurerro swap in there). Then turn around and use our excess money during the offseason to sign Price or Grienke. But don't see the Dodgers trading Seager for anybody right now.

I hate that I agree with a Cards fan but yeah, I agree.

You don't trade someone the caliber of a controlled Shelby Miller straight up for a guy who has no proven major league track record unless it's a cant miss prospect like Harper, which Seager is not. But he's definitely very good.

And we just aren't going to trade Seager for anyone not named Mike trout or bryce harper either
