I still get nervous watching this game.

But I don't get nervous watching the Super Bowl vs Indy

That game had me more queasy in my stomach than I've ever been watching a game. I just "knew" Farve was going to lead the Vikes to a late FG to win and we were all going to melt. Had he not regressed to the gunslinger that's exactly what was about to happen.

I was always a fan of Favre and that just cemented it

Yes - the game was a pure siege on my emotions.

I was more nervous and locked in than even the SuperBowl, as backwards as that sounds.

I flew in for that game and flew out that Monday am. I went straight from the bar to the airport and had my family ship my bags to me. Lol. What a great game.

I was so nervous I couldn't even drink. Most sober I've ever been in the Dome.

Best part of this game is that here in 2015, the Vikings fans are still crying

I was a couple of rows from very top of dome. I told my brother that unfortunately I thought we were gonna give it up,and if we did it was gonna be really hard to be this invested in sports ever again because of how amazing that entire season was only to lose it in this fashion. Then that play ....

Crazy across the body pass from Favrey. Had he not made that crucial mistake the vikes probably would've gone ahead

This. It's like their Bill Buckner game. It'll never leave them.

It is funny seeing them still crying about this 6 years later.

the only game in nfl playoff history that had that big of a difference in yards and wound up losing?

I don't know the accuracy of that statement, but it is comical that they choose not to include the return yards in their argument. I guess they don't understand that it is difficult for a team to generate a ton of yardage, or ToP, when they keep getting short fields.

Saints offense: 257 yds
Saints Return yds: 217 yds
Saints Total yds: 474

Vikings Offense: 475
Vikings Returns: 48
Vikings Total: 523

I'm sure a 50 yard difference is not the biggest discrepancy in league history.

This game is easily one of the most brutal dogfights I've ever watched in football. Both teams were going balls to the wall on each other.

It's still easily the most stressful sporting event I have ever watched in my life, that NFC Championship was. It's awesome because somehow after being dominated and out gained all game long, we still somehow found a way to win.

That was a brutal, intense and emotionally draining game to watch. The epic change of emotions on the last drive of regulation when the Vikings were driving and then to the Favre to Porter pick was just absolutely going for the jugular there, I had to go outside to breathe for a couple minutes. As awesome as winning that game was, I don't think I want to expierence emotion like that ever again in sports or anything else. Let's leave it as a once in a lifetime thing.
