The guard is a female.
She has been punched in the face for intervening; but yes she does.

I have not been to prison but if I went and was raped I would not tell anyone after I got out.

Parish Prison is hell. Gotta be on high alert constantly. Penitentiary is much better actually. You can actually "live" in the pen whereas people are always coming and going. Fresh meat constantly coming and going at Parish Prison so i can bet more arse raping is going on at PP.
I never got arse raped even though if i ever did i wouldn't admit it.

So do you think that a normal dude with like a college degree and a decent attorney could basically get to pick a better prison or jail as part of the sentencing process? Is that kind of inherently known by the sentencers like "Oh man, this white collar guy can't go to OPP he'd be ruined. Let's send him to Beaumont"?
Depends on which court. My friend was convicted in federal court, ergo he went to a federal pen. I've heard you don't want to do time in Louisiana.
First time non violent offender doesn't really have much to worry about in the way of butt rape.

You don't get to pick which unit you go to, no matter who you are. At least here in Texas. Prison is better than State Jail which is better than county jail.

Yeah, these dudes will for sure bow to your fricking intellect while in OPP. They really give a frick about how Christian you are, and will surely leave you be.
LINK
No, you dimwit, not only will you get arse raped. They'll probably force that fricking needle in your arm and hook you on heroin and give you HIV.

Victoria Gosserand did. She got a DUI, blew a .30, killed a girl who was a passenger in another car, resisted arrest by throwing a fit and saying "Do you know who my grandpa is?".
Within hours, a judge showed up (on Christmas eve in the early A.M hours) and she was out of jail before her buzz even wore off.
She was eventually sentenced to five years in prison, but the judge suspended two years of the sentence and gave her credit for time that she wore an ankle monitoring device. her accident occured in Pointe Coupee but she served her time in West baton Rouge where she served less than a year and was allowed to be free and in street clothes during the day.
Gosserand walked without handcuffs or shackles outside the West Baton Rouge Parish Prison on many occasions while in custody. An investigation revealed that Gosserand was the only female prison trusty in a prison work program.
The State Department of Corrections said work release is not available to females at the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center.
I sure pays to have a rich grandaddy who can help you if you are a remorseless killer drunk.

My mom worked at angola
Most about what you hear is highly overstated
Some of it does happen, but it's not extremely common. The prison system has the responsibility of keeping the inmates safe and they strive to.
She also said there were plenty enough queers and cross dressers in there begging for it that rape really wasn't necessary.

I saw her on a daily basis and while she did get out of her cell daily she was in solitary confinement at night. She also always had prison clothes on.

Are you considering moving to LA for the "benefits"?
What are your prisons like in the winter?
Totally OT but what ever happened to the new GF that wanted to spend all of her free time with Professor Pretentious?

Some units are rougher than others, usually the ones with young guys in them because they all want to act hard and try and make a rep. The units with older guys are a lot safer, violence there is used as a tool and doesn't just happen for no reason most of the time. Like I said don't let anyone walk on you and mind your own business and you'd be fine.
