You talking about guys who never played or never will play and they are not Depth just taking up a Roster Position. A player that has never done anything is not a loss!

Lack of DT depth is still enticing. We'll lose LaCouture and likely Godchaux next year. We will lose Thomas this year including the 3 we already lost in the offseason. That leaves Herron and Gilmore as the only two scholarship DTs on the roster right now, that would be here in 2017.
We will only have 4 scholarship DTs next year before the class gets here, and Bain has been moved to DE. Now he might get pushed back to DT, but that is not a given.
We have so far Logan and Alexander as DTs for the 2016 class, but we need two more IMO. Taylor and Lawrence for DT, Manuel and Burns for DE. Maybe try to flip Guidry or Oliver, or both because they can both play inside and outside. Willie Baker for DE.

The staff is trying to flip Oliver (even with the other DT's on our board). Lawrence, Gary, Taylor, and Blacklock are all high-profile DT's with interest in LSU. Of course, that's not including potential offers that we don't know about.

Jordan Elliot, the other big time defensive tackle committed to Houston, scheduled an official visit with us. I think he's the number eight defensive tackle in the nation.

Is academics the reason or what?
Anyway, we need bodies. Don't really care who because with Ed O, I know we'll get some bosses.
Right now we have Roddy, Ed A, and Logan on the DL. If Logan is to be a DE, then we need 3 more DTs at the least. So far I know of Blaylock, Gary, Lawrence, Taylor, and already committed guys Oliver and Guidry ( could both play DE). DEs we are pushing hard for seems to be Manuel and Burns.
7 players for the DL seem about right.

we need 4 DTs in this upcoming class. I'm hoping for both of the Ed's, Rashan and Rashard.
