Umm it has been the case the last few years. Where have you been? So just curious, you all think that LSU will win the west? Because if so I'd love to know what leads you to believe that right now.

That would be miraculous imo. Harris is definitely the x-factor. If he breaks out we could be really good. If he doesn't and/or if Jennings is Jennings then I could see us match last year or even worse. I think we all get excited for the new year but we have a lot of question marks - both defensive ends gone (leading tackler last year), best linebacker gone (2nd leading tackler), best O-lineman gone, Jalen gone, brand new redshirt freshman at center, brand new d-coordinator with all new scheme, etc. That's a lot of transition.

Our best LB is Beckwith. He should have been starting all of 2014.

Our DEs were solid, but not spectacular. I want someone who can provide edge pressure on a consistent basis.

Our DTs will be our best since 2011/2012.

Awesome up the middle: Lacoutre/Godchaux/Thomas, Beckwith & Mills/Adams. We are set up like a great defensive baseball team.

Only teams I'm concerned with this season are Arky an Auburn we have too gain some respect back in the worst way. Those team exposed us bad last year an really haven't lost much an thank God we don't play Tennessee this year only if we meet in the SEC championship, that's gonna be very tough! With all the talent we have its time to put up or shut up!

Back when Pollack played for UGA and ESPN gameday was at LSU for an LSU/UGA game, someone had a sign that read: David Pollack hangs out in Coates bathroom.

A notorious hangout for gays utilizing glory holes.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. Being overlooked can be very motivating.

Alabama does. It's why their bye is planted firmly on the week before they play us.

Uhhh...do you not have the googles?

Miss State
Auburn
Alabama
Arkansas

In my opinion:

Miss State - lost too much across the board, especially at running back.
Auburn - QB who throws more than run against the #3 pass efficiency defense last season. This game will be more competitive than many believe.
Alabama - easy pick
Arkansas - one word "revenge"; we will show up for the next game no matter who plays QB.

The point was Pollack picked them as a Cinderella team next season. Why the doom and gloom for LSU?

It's why I don't watch ESPN anymore unless a game is on. Their analyst are dumb as shite and don't know anything.

It sure seems we are treated like the step child when it comes to espn, even in our best year 2011 it was all about tyrann mathieu and as soon as he was dismissed LSU became a thing of the past

should be a competitive division.. but skull fricking? what the frick? LSU has immense talent.. especially on the line where it matters most.. and as much skill position as anyone could dream.

we finally have a team that didn't lose a ton on both sides of the ball. why should we be any worse than last season? considering everyone else has just as many question marks surrounding them..

A 9-7 record in the sec in the last two years gets you treated like your average. LSU is 3-5 versus the historically good teams that are on our permanent schedule (AU, Bama, and UF) over the last three years. That is not elite football.
