That's pretty much what all sports broadcasters are paid to do, isn't it? They're not hired to be on-air Cheerleaders................

Miles gets a lot of help from that 13-1 season, which is clearly an outlier.

If 8-5 wasn't enough if all this bashing doesn't motivate the coaches and players nothing will.

Mills is decent but far from awesome

Mills is certainly in the conversation for best safety in the SEC. He's way better than "decent". He'll be playing in the NFL next year, and he'll probably be starting. Do you call that just "decent", or do you think it's not true?

I will tell you this: if LSU had a guy with Mills' talent and experience at every position on the team, they'd win the title game by 20 points.

Y Yeah not the retarded fans and media being typical retard fans and media, but you are a damn fool if you think Gus, Saban, Freeze, Spurrier, Mullen, and Sumlin don't have LSU on the brain. Spurrier hasn't beaten Miles, Sumlin hasn't beaten Miles, Auburn hasn't beaten LSU on the road this millennium, Freeze is 1-2 in his time at Ole Miss, Mullen is 1-5 in his time at MSU and MSU's first win this millennium was last year, and Saban knows it's his toughest yearly matchup. Fear LSU??? They don't have to fear LSU, but they will bend over and take it in 2015. LSU is the got damn hunter this year, and that's how a Tiger likes it.

Until les miles does better than mediocre in the sec, you will continue to see 4-4 predictions from college football analysts.

Don't take it personally.

let's just discuss the most recent year, as it has the most bearing on future performance.

How did we do last year?

Don't be a dumbass, it's obvious stupid media nonsense. Auburn also went 4-4 and lost their bowl game as well. How is TAMU predicted 5th or 6th by most "analysts" when their situation is damn near identical to TAMU?

No, they have decided the lemming route. Almost unanimously pick one team to under achieve badly, and unanimously predict one team to over achieve badly despite no logical reasoning to do either.

Thanks again for being brainwashed by it every year.
