Look at the Mercedes ML350 over the GLK350 IMO.

My wife drives the ML350 and loves it.

You can probably find slightly used at $45 and under.

The GLK is a C-Class sedan frame with a new body on it.

I know it's classified as a "SUV" but it's a crossover imo.

Then why not get a one year old pilot that's fully loaded? Even cheaper.

Thought they were a little taller. The Cayennes are some bad mofos off road.

(I'm thinking of looking at a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Bought a 2015 JGC Overland and couldn't be happier with it after 12,000 miles. Jeep gets a lot of negative reviews and I almost stayed away from it, but I think most of the bad rap is directed at other Jeep models. There was a mid-2014 update of the JGC that fixed many of the early problems.

Mid-size SUV just made more sense to me. A small SUV does not have much more room than a car and a big SUV just seems like overkill unless you have a regular need to haul more than 5 bodies around town.

I'd take my wife's Highlander Limited any day over that list of rabble. That caddy will be worth about 1/5 of the new cost in 2-3 years.

Cayennes are nice, a little bigger and over $100k. Too pricey. You can get the Macan for $50-55k. Macan Turbo is around $70k.

This one is a little older but I'm currently selling for $15k. It's a steal

Have a friend with a 2014 JGC Overland that has been nothing but trouble. The thing refuses to start and has been to the dealer at least five times, and they can't figure it out.

I don't want to buy any of you guy's sloppy seconds.

I'm definitely going to take a look at the Jeep GC, it looks pretty nice.

My friend has a Highlander and I like it. The interior is not that nice and the Tech in it are pretty lacking but I'm sure he got a pretty basic model.

There's a thread that was posted earlier about someone's RX350 that was stolen, hence the cheap RXs that are available.

I'm just kind of not seeing the point if you can get one for the same price with 4000 miles

You'll get a better deal on a new car than on a nearly-new car. Besides, who wants a car that has someone else's boogers on the steering wheel?

They did have a problem with the 2014 JGC prior to the mid year update. There were several electronic issues and I would definitely stay away from any JGC made prior to April '14. Personally, I have had no problems since I bought mine in Oct. '14 (but I am knocking on wood after typing this comment).

I will say that the depreciation of popular low mileage used cars is way overblown in today's times

Popularity of used cars has soared and the deals are a lot harder to find

JGC overland 2wd should be right at your price with the v6. In terms a small suv its in a league of its own. As long as you don't need a third row it's the best looking with easy to use technology. Drive one and you'll stop shopping.
