I'm terrible at making decisions so help me with small SUVs/Crossovers

The wife and I want one, and it looks like I'll probably end up being the primary driver. I really have no experience with these things.
I prefer to buy Certified Pre-Owned with very low mileage when I can.
Looking to spend less than 45k.
I've looked at:
2015 Mercedes GLK350
2015 Acura RDX and MDX (Tech Package in both)
2014 Lexus RX350
2014 Infiniti QX60
2015 Cadillac SRX Luxury Collection
Of the cars, I thought the Lexus, Mercedes and Infinit had the best handling/Ride, but the Lexus and Infiniti to me, look very feminine. They look like chick cars. And I wasn't super impressed with the technology in the Lexus, although I was impressed with everything else. Both the infiniti and the Lexus would have about 15-20k more miles than the others. The Mercedes cost to own looks extremely high to me. We can afford it but I tend to be a cheap bastard.
The Salesgirl at the Acura dealership literally knew nothing about the vehicles (she usually works for VW) so I'm trying not to let it color my thought process. I want to go back and look at those with someone who knows something.
I am not committed to luxury brands either. We just happened to look at those because they looked like good deals on AutoTrader. My wife liked the LExus the best but I'm not thrilled and like I said, I'll be the primary driver.
TLDR: Crossover SUVs. Less than 45. I like to do Certified Pre-OWned but am open to anything.
Thoughts?
(I'm thinking of looking at a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee)

My mother has a new Acura MDX and it's very nice.

Just pick something. It wont matter after a couple months of back and forth commuting anyway.

I'd immediately cross out front wheel drive because I hate them, but this is your show.
I'd also look at the Toyota 4Runner, specifically the Limited. Can get a brand new one (oh no!) for around $45k.

The Acura MDX was a little mini-van looking to me, but it was absolutely loaded with features.
Features the sales girl couldn't tell us a thing about because she had no clue.

Nissan Murano convertible on 32's is the only answer.

I just bought a Porsche Macan Turbo. The best crossover I've ever drove, it's pretty affordable too.

My question would be:
Why would I get a 4Runner or Pilot for the same price as, say, a Cadillac or Acura with 4k miles on it or a Lexus with 20k?

I'd say that's more of an SUV than a cross over.

That is one ugly vehicle. Looks like a crossover between a Durango and a caravan

So you do want the luxury brands.

Why not the Subaru Outback? You can get one completely loaded with change to spare for way less than any of the Crossovers you have listed in the OP.

How are you defining affordable?

Not necessarily. I'm just kind of not seeing the point if you can get one for the same price with 4000 miles on it for the same price or less than a new Toyota.

Off that list, I'd go with the Lexus RX.
If you're looking at these, and I really like those too, perhaps also consider the Dodge Durango also. It's basically a Grand Cherokee with a 3rd row. You can get a new one loaded well under your price point too.

I hadn't considered it. I'll look into it.
