Mainly good things from Seth Curry and Larry Drew. Anyone think either, or possibly both, see the court during the season and/or potentially have an impact?

I think Seth Curry makes the roster. I don't think he'll make a huge impact during the year, but he has some potential. He looks decent right now bc he's shooting a ton of shots.

Seth Curry may take the Jimmer role, I think he's the only one who possibly makes it.

I haven't been able to watch the summer league games but I saw Erman praising Larry Drew II on an interview I saw on bleacher report. Said he really believes he's an NBA player. Not sure if he's being optimistic, honest, or just coach talk.

I think drew actually has a good shot. He would have a much higher chance of making a roster playing on a struggling team like the nicks or Orlando though

I think that if you put the over/under at 0.5, then you should get even money on both sides

If we don't keep Seth, I'm having a hissy fit

Even if we did it's unlikely he'd make it through the season. Those end of bench spots are somewhat fluid.

I fully expect that you won't be the only one. I mean, I have seen dozens of people throw a fit over Courtney Fells, or who was the big guy from 2-3 years ago?

No Curry would send the base into meltdown mode

I actually think drew 2 makes a bit more sense

With our roster, I would prefer a guy who can play off ball and spot up. I understand Drew is a better pure point, but do we need that with Jrue, Tyreke, Cole, and even Gordon able to handle the ball?

Give me the off ball spot up guy. And before anybody points out 2 SL game stats, understand the much larger sample size over their careers say that Curry is 10x better as a spot up shooter.

My feeling is that they are doing that as much to motivate Steph/not let him feel safe/keep him hungry, etc. But, we shall see. Long way to go, and still entirely possible nobody from this team makes the team.

How about Branden Dawson. He's a good looking prospect at a position of need. Oh..........

quote:

Branden Dawson, F, Clippers — For all the back-patting for getting DeAndre Jordan to change his mind, the Clippers still have a serious lack of depth. The 6-foot-6 forward showed a nose for rebounding and putting the ball in the bucket all week and has just the right kind of overachiever attitude that comes from being picked No. 56 in the draft and could eventually find its way onto the NBA roster. He put up three double-doubles four games played. One drawback is he could make Jordan look good at the line, making just 3-for-9 on free throws.
