It is impossible to ignore the work McCartney did with John Lennon since the music is out there, and when you combine that with his solo work it isn't even close.

Well Paul McCartney also said God only knows is the best song ever written. I think there's a very good case for Brian being the better song writer. Sloop John B, good vibrations, help me Rhonda, I mean he's got some pretty good shite

Sloop John B wasn't written by him. Old folk song. His version is incredible though.
