Toula: Claims Raul Neto ( Olivier Hanlan, Uta)

I have the Western Conference Finals edition shirt. The WCF was the Finals this past season. Cavs were so banged up they wouldn't have beaten many Western playoff teams.

Stan Johnson ready

quote:

It usually takes time for rookies to get rid of that wide-eyed look.

But Stanley Johnson has been a picture of calm through summer league and the first two days of practice at Detroit Pistons training camp.

"He looks like he's been out here before," coach Stan Van Gundy said Wednesday after the first practice of Day 2. "He doesn't look like a lost rookie at all. He looks like he knows what he's doing, and he's ready to play."

Van Gundy was asked to expound on his comments after Tuesday's first practice, when he called Johnson "one of the better players" during light scrimmaging.

"He's physically strong enough obviously to play, which helps him be able to play right away," Van Gundy said. "He is a smart guy, and he's also got a great mental toughness. Not a lot of stuff fazes him."

We don't brother. HOU was the second best team in the NBA at the end of the season. But that wasn't good enough the goal is a championship. It ain't like we are Pels fans saying "but we outscored them in 3 of the 4 quarters!!" when they got swept 4-0.
