AdBlock has really cut into the revenue stream, but the sub and donations have made up for a lot of it. sodapoppin and lyric make major bank off of that shite, summit1g gets a least one $100 donation a day and just bought a $100K plus GTR at 28. What makes people give that much money to streamers is beyond me, but hey it's their money.

You have to be an entertainer as well as being good at games, if you don't have a schtick it's hard going. If you make your living off of FPS you will lose reaction time as you get older, if you make bank early save that shite.

Yea he just does random games. Sometimes he will do story games like walking dead and last of us other times it's little indie games

He was like...one of he pioneers of the LP part of YouTube. I don't see how though. His accent is weird and he's so totally obnoxious it hurts. I know it's a front...but it's a shitty one.

I just don't get it. Maybe he appeals to a teen audience? I've watched a handful of videos and found zero entertainment value in any of them

Like previously mentioned, he has some sway over younger age demographics because I've yet to watch a single video of his. However, he has done a fantastic job capitalizing on monetizing something he loves to do.

Yea I can honestly say I have never watched a single video of his. I've seen clips and it seems like stuff that appeals to the lowest common denominator which is smart of him to maximize his appeal.

I honestly didn't realize his was a gaming channel. I just assumed it was one of those obnoxious narcissistic "I have a quirky personality so listen to my meaningless opinions" channels.
I ran into a guy a while back who I had worked with at Movie Gallery, and he was telling me that his goal was to become a famous youtuber. Wasn't even joking. Maybe I'm an old geezer now, but I really don't understand that culture.

I have never heard of that dude. I wonder how much money the Battlefield YouTubers make. LevelCap, Matimio, and some of the others. They really aren't even that funny, they just play the game and post about the state of the game most of the time.
