You're wrong that only some people who upload a video with game content make money. Anyone can monetize a video and the only gaming company that blocks people from earning money from monetization is Nintendo.

He owes one single playthrough for his success. His reactions when playing Amnesia were hilarious and it's what put him on the map. That's why he only played horror games for the longest time. Then he got so big that it didn't matter what he played.

Yeah, like Dan said, they split all revenue from subscriptions with Twitch.
ETA: A few streamers I've watched have said that they actually make a decent amount from ads. I've always wondered what type of money they see.

Yeh, people can earn money on everything. My brother has a video blog on YouTube. I elaborate and monetize apps via https://www.appodeal.com . I don`t understant why some people are working that hard while there are such simple ways to make money.
